Awareness Shadow Box Frame

Hi all and welcome to another of blog posts

Today I am sharing with you a DT inspiration piece for the first challenge over at
The theme for this months challenge is Anything Goes and is sponsored by

For this challenge I chose to use the Awareness Digi Stamp Set , As soon as I saw this digi I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it and here it is. I have made a shadow box frame out of cardstock.

As a Fibromyalgia Warrior myself I knew I had to do this piece for all the Fibro Warriors out there who struggle day to day and to say there is always support out there for you and you are not alone.

To make this piece I used the following products:
Spectrum Noir Markers
12x12 Fresh Fig Cardstock
Shimelle designer series paper
Scoreboard
Trimmer
Paper Snips
Tombow Glue
Black Soot Distress Ink
Foam Tape

I hope this has inspired you and I can not wait to see what you all do for your challenge entry.

New Beginnings Art Journal Page

Hi all

Today I have an art journal spread to share with you all which I also did while at the crop on Saturday.

I wanted to have a messy day while there so only took my art journal and mixed media products with me I will say though I did not take everything I own to do art journalling lol.

So here it is

The stamped sentiment reads: What appears to be the end is usually the start of a new beginning. I thought this sentiment fitted the layout so well.

For this piece I used the following products:
Large Dylusions Art Journal
Liquitex Basic Paints
White Gesso
Dylusions Stamp
Andy Skinner Stencil
Black Gesso
Brushes

All of this page has been painted by hand I have not sketched anything out before hand and is the first time I have attempted something like this, Yes most will say oh its not great but to me I am happy with it and that is what matters as it is my art journal and is something for me.

For my first attempt at something like this is not bad going at all, and I hope it inspires you to give art journalling a go there are no rules just go for it and go with the flow as they say.

Don't be scared on starting that first page in your journal as it is for YOU. Do what makes you happy and let yourself go with what ever materials you want to use on your page.

This Is Indeed A Mystery Mixed Media Canvas

Hi all

Today I have a mixed media canvas to share with you all, Which I did while at a crop day on Saturday, We get a kit each month to use while at the crop or to use at home which ever we like, This months kit was the Graphic 45 Master Detective.

So here we have what I have done with some bits from one of the sheets which was in the kit including some of the embellishments.

To do this canvas I used the following products:
20 x 20cm Canvas
Black Gesso
Master Detective 12 x 12 Sheet - Cut parts from this that i wanted to use
Embellishments from the kit (feathers spider web and spider die cuts)
Border Drip Stencil
Modelling Paste
Candied Apple Distress Ink
Matt Medium
Foam Tape
Scissors

I loved doing this piece with the kit as it was so different to doing a scrapbook layout. I also shared this picture on my Instagram and it got noticed by Graphic 45 eeeeek they even commented on it which made me grin like a Cheshire cat.

I hope you like what I have done and it inspires you to try something new with your 12x12 papers.

If you would like to follow me on Instagram you can do so here: The Crafty Bat
