December 2017 Catch Up

Hello everyone, First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope 2018 is a great year for you all. I have a lot of new ideas to put into action and I can not wait to share with you all.

Secondly I would like to apologise to you all for how quiet it has been here over December, it is a really hard month for my self and my family we don't do Christmas due to our own reasons and due to it is a hard time for us with the loss of my Grandad in 2003 and Brother-In-Law in August 2016 so with this on top of my health really taking a beating I had lost my crafty mojo.

So what have I been doing well even though my mojo had gone bye bye and not being very well I did want to try something new (I have a habit of trying new crafty things) I went a head and gave it a go. So I thought I would share with you all what I had a go at doing and I have to admit I loved every minute as it is something so different to my usual crafting.

Here they are

A beautiful guardian angel (Christmas Angel) and a Wreath, I am over the moon with both of these and can not wait to try others in different colours and for different occasions so yes these may be making an appearance on my Etsy and Facebook on a regular basis but at the moment I have no idea when could but I shall keep you all posted.

I hope you like them as much as I do and yes I did put them up for sale on my Etsy before Christmas unfortunately they did not sell but this could be down to how close to Christmas I had listed them.

Apart from making these two beauties I didn't make anything else instead i spent time with my wonderful other half and family while trying to function through horrible Fibromyalgia flare ups and other health problems.

I am now feeling a better and raring to go with lots of new ideas, exciting things to share with you all and more so keep your eyes peeled for my First creation of 2018 for the NEW challenge for SheepSki Designs.

Saturday's Stationery Gift Box Class

Hi all.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend mine was very busy.

So on Saturday I headed out to the monthly crop I attend but this month was different, this time I wasn't doing my own thing crafting away and chatting with everyone there I was teaching. YAY!!

The class I did was to make a beautiful Stationery Gift Box and contents, I had five ladies attending the class two of the ladies picked the Coffee Cafe design and three of the ladies picked the Floral Phrases design.

This is an example of what they were going to make in the class, including decoration, tags, 3x3 cards and 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards.

The class went amazingly well and I am super chuffed with all who attended the class they all did amazingly well and each one was stunning.

I thought I would share some pictures with you all of the class in action and the end result.

Now for a group photo of the ladies with their Stationery Gift Box

Seeing the smiles on their faces says it all, to know you have lead the class and shown the attendees how to do something is the greatest feeling ever and I absolutely loved teaching these lovely ladies.

Each one of the really enjoyed the class we had plenty of chatting and giggles along the way which made for such a wonderful relaxed class which is exactly how I like it to be.

Vanity Case Gift Box

Hi all

Today I would like to show you another gift box but this time for the ladies this one would also be ideal for little girl's for party favours and more.

Here is the vanity gift box, this is not my original design this was done by a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I have done it in my own style to share with you all.

I will of cause do a tutorial on this gift box just like I shall do for the suite case for you all so please do check back for that and for the Shadow Box Frame tutorial which is coming next week.

The products used to make this beautiful vanity case are as follows:
Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (Retired)
Urban Underground Embellishments (Retired)
Corner Punch (Retired)
White Signo Gel Pen
Velcro Dots or Magnets

Now lets take a closer look at it

Front View

Side View

Inside showing the mirror (using Silver Foil sheet)

Open side view

Doesn't it look beautiful, You can even add a gift tag onto the handle if you wish to make it that more personal. You can also do like on the Man's Suite Case and put the end protector bits on using a 2" circle punch.

The overall size of this gift box is 12cm long and 7.5cm wide, it would be the ideal gift box for nail varnish, jewellery or even to use as a little keepsake box or for decoration. So many possibilities with this stunning little box. I loved making this and bringing it to life and can not wait to do the tutorial for you all, I have a few ideas for the colours of my next one.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the female version and it inspires you to give it a go as soon as the tutorial is on my blog.

Don't forget to use this months Hostess Code 6HYKZY3Z on any order of £25 minimum excluding postage and get a gift from me.You can shop with me at MY STORE 24/7 and your orders will be shipped directly to you.

My First Crop

Hi Crafters :)

I hope everyone is well and had a lovely weekend. My weekend was fab I attended my first ever Crop and it was the first one close to me.

It was organised by Carolyn Summers (Cal) and she did an absolutely amazing job, the whole day was fantastic I really enjoyed myself, I got to go along with my bestie Laura and we both also got to meet a friend of ours from Facebook Jane, It was so nice to finally meet Jane and Cal in person. It was also lovely to meet other like minded crafty people who were also very friendly and welcoming and I am sure will be come friends :)

The crop ran from 10am until 4pm so we had lots of time to craft have a chat with everyone swap ideas and more. Before the day I was chatting to Cal about the Oxide inks and she asked if I would show her them at the Crop, I agreed happily. So the day came and in the afternoon I got my Oxide inks out and it turned into a little demo, it went down a storm everyone loved it and complimented on how well I showed them off and answered all questions :D

I did manage to get some makes done and took some pictures. One of the makes I will include a picture of here but the other two pieces will be done as separate blog posts.

Here is my little workstation for the day :) Yes that is my custom UglyDori TN on the table ;)

Even though it was a small gathering with it being the first one local to me It was a fab day all round and I can not wait for the next one eeeeekkk.

Here is one of the little makes I did on the day, a cute little Handbag Gift bag. The products used to make this were as follows: Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (Retired), Gift Box Punch Board (Retiring and Reduced), Elegant Eggplant Card Stock, Tombow Glue, Bone Folder, Velcro Dots. All products linked will take you to my Stampin' Up! Store where you can purchase them 24/7.

Myself and Cal got hatting before the Crop and on the day of the Crop and we have arranged for me to do some classes/workshops at the crop which I am really looking forward to doing and I shall of cause keep you all posted on when they will be, what class it is and so on.

I just want to say one last thing.... A big thank you to Cal for such a brilliant day and for making me feel so welcome oh and Thank you so much for the Crop Prize :D
