Magical Wonders

I have been wanting to try something different with a background for a while so today I finally got around to doing it... The first attempt I wasn't happy with so in the bin it went I'm sure many of us have done that lol.

I absolutely love how this turned out in the end, there is one stamp that I have had for a while that I have been wanting to use but could never think so after having a look around on Pinterest for some inspiration I had an idea in mind and have to admit it come together so much better than I could have hoped for.

Here we have Magical Wonder

I just love how the colours work so well together everything about this piece I LOVE!!, I decided to frame this piece and have to say framing it gave it that finishing touch

I only used THREE colours of distress inks for the background :O Yes only 3, I also used the splashed water effect on the background a little and the baby wipe technique for the moon. This has all been done on smooth white card.

Spooky Forest

Hi all
Today's post is a new piece I have been working on today, I am rather chuffed with this one, for some reason the camera didn't pick up the colours on the background as well as I had hoped. But I did take another picture of it out of the frame.

This piece has been made using a collection stamps from Lavinia, Stencil from Inkylicious and Distress Inks by Tim Holtz.

Here we have Spooky Forest

The background has all been done using Distress Inks in the following colours: Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Seedless Preserve.

Here is a better more close up picture of the piece not in the frame. You can see the colours much better in this one.

I couldn't help but not do a Halloween piece and have you noticed there are bats on the picture YAAAAAY!!!

Sometimes We Need A Little Magic

Hello all

Well it has been a while since I did a post a lot has been going on with my handmade business, family and other things which I don't want to bore you with.

So what have I been doing?? Well not a great deal really which I am gutted about as I love getting messy with my inks etc. All being well this will now change and I can get on with being creative.

Today I am sharing with you my most recent make which features one of Visible Images stunning stamps, a Inkylicious Stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. This piece has been done on some beautiful smooth white card and then mounted into a lovely frame.

Here we have it

I absolutely love this stamp and the quote which comes with it, This was one of my purchases when Visible Image had the summer sale on, I couldn't not get it.

Never forgot "Sometimes We Need A Little Magic"
