Altered Hoop Mixed Media

Hi All.

Today I have something a little bit more dark and Gothic to share with you all, this project was a bit of a light bulb moment, so here it is

A Gothic Dream Catcher

I absolutely love how this turned out,I am so happy and pleased with it. The above picture is taken with the flash to show the amazing colours.

Here are some pictures of the Dream Catcher without the flash and a couple of close up shots of the Raven Skull in the centre which is a 3D printed piece.

I am thinking of doing more of these in all different colours and themes so keep your eyes open for those and who knows you could own your very own ;)

I hope you like what I have done with this piece and it inspires you to go with those light bulb, go with the flow moments.

Steampunk ATC's

Hi all

Well it has been a while but I have a few new things to share with you all, starting with some Steampunk ATC's.

These ATC's were done for a swap I took part in, back in May run by Charmed Cards and Crafts and of cause I loved every minute of making and swapping these.

So here is what I came up with

This picture was taken with the flash

Without Flash

I used a number of different products to achieve these ATC's, here is a list of what was used
Thick White Cardstock
Modelling Paste
Stencil
Black Gesso
Miss Moneypenny Paint from Indigoblu
3D Printed cogs
Die Cut Cogs from greyboard
Sentiment stamp from a Visible Image stamp set
Prima Opal Magic and Alchemy waxes
Copper Embossing Powder

I love love love how they turned out and the way the prima waxes really bought out the detail of the cogs etc.

I hope you like what I have done and if yu would like to take part in the swap you can find all details over on the Facebook Group >> HERE <<

Steampunk Mixed Media Skull Canvas

Hello Lovelies.

Well it is all go here at HQ as I have a couple of market nights I am taking part in so have been busy working on products for those,I also have a class I am teaching in November so have been busy getting things in order for all that amongst much more.

So today I have a new creation to share with you all which has been made for the Halloween market night I am taking part in.

Here is my Steampunk Mixed Media Skull Canvas

This picture was taken with the flash on with a little more light

Here we have some close up pictures to show the detail and texture on the canvas

A close up picture of the skull in the centre of the canvas

Lastly another picture of the canvas but this time with not flash

This canvas was so much fun to bring to life and I love how it all came together.
The products I used to make this piece are as follows:

9 x 9 inch Canvas
Sand Texture Paste
Crackle Paste
Modelling Paste
Glass Bead Gel
Grey Board Cogs and Gears which I die cut using the Tim Holtz Gadget Gears #2
Black Gesso
Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Waxes (I used a mixture of Opal Magic and Antique Brilliance)
Indigo Blue Miss Moneypenny Metallic Paint
Indigo Blu Kingfisher Blue Metallic Paint
Mike Deakin Steampunk Skull Stencil

I am loving working with the Art Alchemy waxes they are so easy to use and give a stunning effect, they also smell really nice too, as you can see from the list I used a variety of different materials to give me the texture and look I was going for.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this and it has given you some inspiration to get your mixed media products out and to get messy and creative, remember there are no mistakes only happy accidents.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, this canvas will be available to purchase in a market night which will be running on Facebook on 13th October

Altered Notebook Mixed Media

Hello everyone

I hope everyone is well, Things have been a little quiet on here due to me being very busy with Design Team projects, Stampin' Up! projects and getting prepared for my class in November on top of everything else.

Anyways let's get on to what I have to share with you all today. This little project was just a bit of fun and something I have wanted to try for a few weeks and finally got time to do it o I wanted to share it with you all.

Here we have my Mixed Media Altered Notebook

This picture was taken with the flash on

Back view with the flash

View of the notebook opened with the flash

Now for a couple of picture without the flash and in as natural light as possible in my house

I absolutely love how this turned out and will say the pictures do not do this any justice at all in person it looks beautiful.

To do this piece I used the following products
Notebook
Glue Gun
Tissue Paper
Liquid Glue
Black Acrylic Paint
Prima Marketing - Art Alchemy Opal Magic Wax - Green Brocade
Indigo Blu - Miss Moneypenny Metallic Paint

As you can see it took minimal supplies to achieve this and it was so much fun to do, so this has gone from a boring notebook to a beautiful mixed media Spell Book with 3D Spider Web and Spells on the front cover.

I hope this inspires you to give this a try, you can do so many different designs with just using a hot glue gun. I hope you have lots of fun trying this.
