Perfectly Flawed

Hey all

Welcome back to another of my blog posts... Today I have a mixed media canvas to share with you all.

This canvas I worked on over a few days as I had no clue where I was going with it let alone what materials I was going to use.... This all started with just a plain canvas which I then covered in Matt Medium and torn up book pages, then I put gesso over the whole thing and it evolved from there.

So here is Perfectly Flawed

In the picture above it does not show how bright and vibrant this piece really is, so I managed to get another picture of it to show how this....

I just love love love how bright and vibrant this piece came out, Here is a list of products I have used to do this canvas:

Canvas 20 x 20cm
Visible Image Stamp Set - Face It
Visible Image Stamp Set - Own It
Visible Image Stamp Set - Create It
Torn Book Pages
Matt Medium
Gesso
Masking Tape
Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals - Blazing Black, Urban Amethyst, Luminous Lemon and Poppin' Pink
Crackle Paste
Crackle Medium
Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad
Archival - Watering Can Ink Pad
Tip Top Taupe Ink Spray (Home Made)
Dylusions Paint - Black, White and Slate Grey

I hope you like what I have done with this canvas as much as I have bringing it to life, I love how vibrant and bright it is and the pictures just do not do it justice. It was so much fun making this as I did not plan anything out with it at all and I defo want to try this more and more just to see what happens, as they say there are no mistakes in crafting just happy accidents.

Music Soothes The Soul

Hi All

I am back again with another piece to share with you all, Yes I have been busy last few days and I am only getting around to blogging about each piece now :O naughty crafty bat.

This time I am sharing with you a piece I have done using something very new to me and of cause using one of my favourite stamp brands Visible Image :)

During making this piece, I decided to put on some music LOUD!!! and listened to some old songs which I must warn you DOES NOT WORK when you are doing the chair boogie while trying to stamp LOL... Listening to some of my music helped me to deiced on which stamp to use on this piece.

For this colourful piece I used the following products:
Glossy Card
Adirondack Alcohol Inks
Visible Images Stamps - Soul Music (which has been revamped - You can find the sentiment in the Music Speaks Set and the Music Wave in the Sing Set) and The Ripple Effect
Memento Ink

I am still not sure what I am going to do with this piece as of yet but once I do I will show you all what I have done with it, This was mainly just a little play around experimenting piece which was so much fun to well except from the trying to stamp while doing the chair boogie lol.

Own Kind Of Beautiful ATC

Hi all.. Me again with another ATC to show you all..

I have been watching a fair few You Tube tutorials and Demo's the passed few weeks and been making notes of techniques which caught my eye and that I would love to try so I thought I would try one of the techniques on an ATC.

The technique i chose to try on this ATC was the watercolour stamping technique with Distress Inks... So here it is

I absolutely love how this turned out as I was so nervous in trying it just in case I misted too much water onto the stamp etc - Hence why I tried it on an ATC ;) I also did my watercolour stamping BEFORE doing the background as I wanted to try out the awesome Distress Micro Glaze.

What did I use to do this piece?? Here is what I used:
Watercolour Card
Distress Inks
Mini Mister
Visible Image Stamps - Own Kind Of Beautiful
Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders - Firework Burst ( I highly recommend this one the colours it throws off are awesome one of my favourite pixie powders)
Distress Micro Glaze (another fantastic product)
Memento Ink

If you have not tried watercolour stamping with the distress inks yet - I highly recommend giving it a go and maybe do like I did and do it on an ATC size piece first.

I was so chuffed with the outcome of this piece that I will definitely be re-creating it again with more detail and stamping on a larger piece, so keep a look out for that.

Crafty Sunday -

Hi all

Well It has been a long time since I have been able to craft on a weekend for me (custom orders needed doing lol) and I took full advantage of being able to do just that.

So today I have done another ATC YAY!!! on this one I did a few techniques I have not done before and I think trying them on an ATC is perfect due to the size of them and I am over the moon with the outcome.

Here is today's ATC

I used the following products to make this ATC
Watercolour Card
Distress Inks
Memento Ink - Black
Dew Drop Brilliance Ink - White
Sponge Finger Dobber
Circle Stencil
Visible Image Stamps - Where dreams take you and Edgy

The techniques used on this ATC were.. Watercolour using Distress Inks, and the Bokeh Technique.

I also started on another project which I will blog about properly in a new post as soon as it is completed, I have not been able to get it finished today due to leaving it to dry and so on but I do have a little sneak peek of my WIP (Work In Progress) to show you all.

Any ideas on what I could be doing???

Make sure to pop back in a few days to find out what the above is and what I used to create it.

Imperfection Is Beauty Canvas

Hi all

Today's post is to show you all a Mixed Media Canvas I have done. It took me some time to decide on what I was doing today as I have so many ideas and techniques I want to try I couldn't choose.

So here is my Imperfection Is Beauty Canvas

To do this canvas I used the following and the resist technique:

20 x 20 cm Canvas
Versamark Ink Pad
WOW Embossing Powders in White and Gold
Black Gesso (On The Sides)
Brusho's - Cobalt Blue, Emerald Green, Violet
Bo Bunny Glitter Paste - Caribbean

I think the sentiment from this set fits perfectly with this canvas piece as I do not think it is as perfect as i would have liked and shows Imperfection Is Beauty :D

I hope you liked seeing this piece as much as I liked putting it together.
